Case study
One page that compares the field and sends guards to one booking page
A comparison guide for Condition Zero Tactical’s armed guard course, on its own domain, built for readers who skim.

- Year
- 2026
- Industry
- Firearms training
- Built with
- WordPress, custom theme
- Client
- Condition Zero Tactical, a firearms training company in Las Vegas.
- Key question
- “How do you win working security guards who, in the owner’s words, barely read?”
- What I built
- A one-page guide: a sortable table of local providers on their real Google ratings, what the two-day course looks like, the Nevada requirements and the common questions, with one button to book. On a WordPress theme the owner edits himself.
- Result
- Live the day after the kickoff call. Reviewed five stars on Upwork, and the client came back for a second site.
Less is more, taken literally
The brief was two lines long and the owner meant both: keep it visual, keep it short. So the page is one scroll with anchor links, and every section answers a question a guard actually arrives with: who should I train with, what is it like, what does the state want from me.
There is one call to action, repeated: book the course. Nothing else on the page leads anywhere else, which is why competitors in the table have no links.
Only numbers that survive a sceptic
The page ranks its own operator first, which is fine as long as every figure can be checked. The ratings are public Google numbers with the date they were checked, and the “operated by Condition Zero Tactical” line stays visible under the table.
His layout, my interaction
The owner had a mock he liked because it put the reviews first, so the build follows it, and adds the one thing that won the job: tap a provider and it opens with the details. It runs as a custom WordPress theme he edits himself, made to be reused on his other domains.
“He took the time to ensure the task was clearly understood, checked in to confirm expectations, and followed through with flawless execution. His attention to detail and commitment to doing things right really stood out.”
